The cover for Mother-in-Law, Son-in-Law.
Hello to everyone who is arriving here having googled the name of the new book, Mother-in-Law, Son-in-Law! This blog is now regularly getting over a hundred visitors a day, many of you googling about the book, which is fantastic. :)
It won't be long now until the book is published; the editing is nearly finished and I'm hoping to have it on sale October/November.
About an hour ago I received notice that my new company has been formed, which means I am now officially a company director. You may address me as "Queen Jude " if you must, but curtsying, genuflecting and toadying are dungeonable offences.
The company is called Fleur De Lys Publishing Ltd. The site is at
fleurdelyspublishing.com and is under construction with a right fancy placeholder, the illustration being designed by a supremo-whizz-kid illustrator down under in Sydney, called
Russell Tate. I'm a huge fan of Russell's work and am honoured to have a fine example on my under construction page.

Fleur De Lys Publishing has two novels of mine due for imminent publication (MY ADVENTURES IN CYBERSPACE will be published Spring 2009) and two sequels in the pipeline, and a possible future novel by my editor and partner, Brian Trevelyan, who is also assistant film programmer for ShAFF, (Sheffield Adventure Film Festival) and KMFF (the world renowned Kendal Mountain Film Festival) - so we will definitely not be taking on any clients in the forseeable future. For that reason please don't send us any manuscripts! (Yabbadabbadoo! From asking to be accepted by agents a year ago, I'm now saying "Thanks, but no thanks" myself!)
In the meantime, here is a sign-up form so that you can be notified when Mother-in-Law, Son-in-Law goes on sale and also receive a copy of the monthly newsletter keeping you up to date on news relating to Fleur De Lys books. Your details will remain confidential and you will not be spammed, and your details will not be passed on or sold to any third party.
I have personally spent a fortnight buried in html land getting the newsletter absolutely bang on and Issue 1 will be despatched to all interested parties next week.
I will be blogging about the work of
photographer David Winge, whose original photograph we used for the cover of Mother-in-Law, Son-in-Law, in the near future, including an interview with him. His book Desert Nudes - The Art of David Winge, is due for publication soon. He is a truly gifted photographer whose work shows an enormous respect for and understanding of women, so he wins my respect hands down!

Well done Jude! I've seriously been considering self publishing a collection of my short stories over the last few weeks. Hope all is well with you and yours.
